Game Changing Solutions

Inspired by the warfighter              Driven by innovation              Focused on mission accomplishment

Airborne Networking

Dynamic information networks can make a decisive difference at the tactical edge. Future architectures bring together enterprise systems with tactical data links.

Multiple Domain Operations

GALT is exploring alternative communications and networking solutions across multiple domains including sea, air, land, and space.

Vision

GALT subscribes to Col John Boyd’s tenet “Wars are won by people, ideas and equipment, IN THAT ORDER.” Warriors need tools (equipment) that are flexible so they can use them in unforeseen ways under unexpected conditions, effective and reliable so they create the desired effects on the enemy whenever needed, and in sufficient quantity to know how they work through realistic training in peacetime and readily available in wartime. GALT will always satisfy the warrior with such tools.

Mission

GALT listens to warriors, learns about their problems and ideas, and delivers innovative and affordable solutions. In warfare, as in life, better information enables better results. GALT provides simple, effective information capabilities to support all levels of war and to drive information to the lowest levels possible, enabling faster decision cycles and decisive results. GALT uniquely focuses on architecture (not product) solutions, effective open systems integration and rapid prototyping, fielding and operations.
The modern battle space relies heavily on networked communications. Efficient communications between distributed users on the ground, in the air, and on the water, is essential to success.
Understanding warfighter needs is at the core of the GALT approach to systems engineering, design, and development. Veteran Pilots, Aviators, and Flight Officers make up key components of the team. Armed with experience in the field, and in touch with curent operators, the GALT approach is tightly coupled with the end user.

The DoD acquisition process can be long and arduous, protracted timelines for development of new technology reduce readiness and hinder warfighting capability. GALT cuts through long timelines with a lightening speed approach to development and prototyping. Hands on development cycles in GALT labs brings together cutting-edge technology for complex airborne systems addressing challenges with both hardware and software.
Iterative rapid prototyping sprints embed direct user input throughout the process, and continuous testing in both the lab and field environment further reduces time to field innovative solutions.

GALT experience with airborne networks, airborne systems, software, and integrated multilevel security solutions brings an ability to move quickly through multiple parallel design activities to arrive at functional prototypes that can be explored by operatonal personnel and move advanced systems into the hands of the warfighter more quickly than traditional development could even comprehend.
